Liberty Hall in downtown Tyler provides a unique experience that can make your next event one to be remembered! Brides and grooms can seal eternity with a kiss. Corporate leaders can rouse their charges from the main stage. A birthday girl and her friends, costumed in polyester and flipped up hair, can party like it's the '80s with "The Breakfast Club" on the big screen. Whatever you imagine, we can do.
Liberty Hall is a 6824 square-foot, 315-seat theater with a large-format screen and excellent audio and lighting system. The theater has multimedia capabilities and state of the art acoustics and technology making it a perfect setting for your event.
Built in the 1930’s the Liberty was purchased and renovated by the City of Tyler as a community theater to encourage and bring the performing arts to our picturesque downtown. In September of 2011 Liberty Hall had it's grand opening and has been going strong ever since. Patrons experience music, dance, theatre, visual arts, comedy and film in a lovely, art deco setting reminiscent of the 1930’s. The Liberty is a perfect blend of the old and the new, honoring historic Texas theaters, while providing up to date audio and visual systems to accommodate today’s technology.
Rental rates are for the building only. Ticketing, marketing, promotion and staffing is the responsiblity of the renter. Rental events will not be promoted by the venue or it's staff unless a marketing package is purchased and agreed upon (see below).
Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday it is $100 per hour (minimum of three hours required)Thursday, Friday. Saturday or Sundays it is $150 per hour (again a minimum of three hours)
Rental time includes set-up and tear-down time. Please take this into account when filling out the contract.
An insurance policy is required for all events and can be purchased for $100 through Liberty Hall.
Staff hours (ie, audio, lighting, etc.) will be $50 per hour per person - necessary staffing can be discussed with Liberty Hall Manager prior to signing the contract.
Video recording of your event - 3 hours recorded and edited = $750 (after 3 hours: $100 per hour)
If you will be utilizing the piano, there is a $200 fee.
Upon signing the rental agreement, Renter shall pay a Rental Deposit of 25% of the total due. This amount is NON-REFUNDABLE.
The remaining balance is due 30 days before the scheduled event. If the remaining balance is not received at this time, the reservation will be canceled and the building made available for lease.
A marketing package is available through the venue and is an additional $800 per event (discretion of the Hall Manager). This includes representation on the Liberty Hall's rack card, marquee and website page, as well as Facebook posts one week prior to the event. Inclusion in any Liberty Hall event marketing ads that are done. All of this must be decided, agreed upon and paid before the quarterly marketing of Liberty Hall begins: December; March; June and September.
